Santander offers £25 to customers who recommend their current accounts
Santander has announced that it will reward customers who recommend a Santander current account to a friend with £25. This is in addition to the £100 switching incentive that the new customer receives for switching current accounts.
Santander is launching this new initiative for existing customers who recommend a friend who switches and opens a new current account online at www.santander-refer.co.uk/reward. Existing customers just provide the names and email addresses of any friends they wish to recommend.
The offer is open to people who open a Santander Preferred, Zero, Reward or Premium current account after being recommended to Santander by an existing customer.
Nici Audhlam-Gardiner, Santander Banking Director, said: "Santander is driven to do better by offering first class current accounts and giving new and existing customers a reason to make Santander their bank of choice."
Santander has a dedicated switching team to help make the process of changing current accounts as hassle-free as possible. The service allows all their existing standing orders, bill payments and direct debits transferred from their old bank to the new Santander current account.
In most instances Santander will match the existing level of overdraft, up to £5,000, that the new customer had with their previous bank.
