Sainsbury's offers new car insurance customers breakdown assistance
Thursday, 29 December 2011 01:28
Customers taking out new car insurance policies with Sainsbury's will be able to benefit from free breakdown cover as part of a special offer.
Until April 9th 2012, anyone starting a policy with the financial services provider will be covered in the event of their vehicle needing roadside repairs or more comprehensive restoration at a garage within ten miles.
A message can also be sent to friends or family members to let them know about the breakdown.
"Breaking down could be a real inconvenience so having peace of mind that you are covered and can call upon professional help is invaluable - especially in winter and on those cold, dark nights," said Sainsbury's spokesperson Ben Tyte.
New customers who have a Nectar card can also benefit from discounts on their premiums and extra points when they shop at Sainsbury's supermarkets.
Earlier in 2011, Sainsbury's found that 13.7 million people would not know what to do if their car went into a spin on ice or snow, while 27 per cent would do something that could make the situation worse.
