The Post Office is promising to beat home insurance renewal quotes by £50 for new customers this winter.
The Post Office says that even if it can’t beat your renewal quote it promises to pay you back the difference plus £50 within 60 days of you buying a home insurance policy with the Post Office.
So, if your current insurer offers you a renewal amount of £200, and the Post Office can only offer you a quote for £300, The Post Office says it will give you back £150 within 60 days when you purchase home insurance from them for £300.
The Post Office promises to offer each home insurance customer an extra ten per cent extra contents cover during the Christmas period and at weddings.
It also promises contents to be replaced on a new-for-old basis.
Paul Havenhand, Head of Insurance at Post Office, said: "As people continue to feel the pinch this winter, they will be looking for ways to ease the pressure on the purse strings.
Alongside other benefits, we hope that helping people beat their renewal premiums by at least £50 will allow new customers to get the most of their money as well as the best quote possible."
