Personal accident insurance provides cover in case of a mishap which results in permanent total disability or loss of sight, hearing or a limb. Other injuries are also covered depending on the policy, including loss of finger or toe.
Accident insurance pays out set sums for different injuries and is often taken out by those in risky jobs or who practice sports.
There are a variety of providers who offer accident insurance.
