Ibuyeco: Green car insurance

Monday, 22, Jun 2009 02:02

A range of eco charities are set to benefit from the latest car insurance policies being offered by ibuyeco.

The insurer has pledged a £5 donation to either the Woodland Trust, Borneo Orangutan Survival or the Converging World charities when a car owner buys or renews their policies.

Ibuyeco already offers policyholders the chance to offset their carbon emissions from their driving, and has provided financial support to environment charities.

However, it decided to offer customers the chance to donate to a greater variety of charities in response to customer feedback.

Lucy Bailey, senior marketing manager for ibuyeco, said: "Our customers told us they would like the opportunity to support a wider range of environmental concerns, including projects being carried out in the UK.

"The green agenda is now part of the mainstream and consumers are demanding products that are not only high quality and good value, but also environmentally responsible."
