Sainsbury's life insurance is provided by Legal & General and cover starts from as little as £5 a month. Your premiums remain fixed during the policy period but your cover can be adjusted as and when you wish giving you greater flexibility in your life insurance.
There are two main types of Sainsbury's life insurance:
- level term life insurance that is fixed in its premiums and cover and provides a lump sum payout in the event of the policy holder's death
- decreasing term life insurance is ideal for protecting your mortgage repayments and the cost of this cover is generally cheaper
Either type of life cover comes with terminal illness cover as standard with Sainsbury's life insurance.
