Stock market analysis from The Share Centre
Friday, 03 November 2006 12:00
James Taylor, investment adviser from The Share Centre, comments on this week's market.
He said: "The FTSE 100 fell back slightly last week, continuing the previous weeks falls, finishing at 6,144, some 16 points lower for the week.
"This alongside a weak performance from the US, but a number of decent trading updates from the likes of Unilever, Smith & Nephew and Friends Provident provided some strength.
"Next week sees a host of blue chips updating the market, including Marks & Spencer, Yell Group, Rentokil Initial, 3i, BT group, Man Group and SABMiller."
