Saga launches fantast share dealing scheme

Saga Share Direct is offering over-50s a Fantasy Share Dealing Game from May 1st until July 31st with the top investor winning £1,000.

Participants in the share dealing game are given a fantasy limit of £100,000 to invest in any listed companies on the London Stock Exchange and AIM markets.

Players can check their progress against other fantasy share dealing investors using the league table which will be updated daily. Investors can also create 'mini-leagues', allowing them check their progress against friends and colleagues.

Entrant that has the biggest gains by July 31st will win £1,000 in cash.

"Our game is accessible to everyone, from the virgin investor who just wants to see if they can make some gains to the more seasoned investor, looking to rival legendary stock-picker Warren Buffett," said Andrew Goodsell, chief executive of Saga Group.
