Stock market analysis from The Share Centre

Friday, 20 July 2007 12:00

Graham Spooner, of The Share Centre, comments on this week's market.

He said: "After initial weakness at the start of the week the market attempted to stage a rally on Thursday.

"However, this came to a halt on the back of slightly disappointing corporate news from America and the continued concerns over the sub-prime market voiced by Ben Bernanke, the FED Chairman.

"This has led to the FTSE 100 index showing a loss on the week of 130.8 points to close at 6585.2."
