F&C, Henderson and Baillie Gifford promote investment trusts

Thirty-somethings are being targeted by three fund management companies keen to promote investment trust to young professionals.

F&C, Henderson Global Investors and Baillie Gifford are joining forces to present a roadshow extolling the benefits of this savings options to investors in this age group.

Kicking off on October 7th, the events will include talks from some of the companies' investment trust managers plus appearances from guest speakers from the industry.

James de Sausmarez, director and head of investment trusts at Henderson, said: "With very low rates of interest and rising tax rates, private investors need to make their money work harder and investment trust, with their low charges, global investment reach and professional managers provide an attractive solution."

And Hamish Mair from F&C said private equity investment trusts offered a good opportunity for younger more adventurous investors to strengthen their portfolios.
