Barclays Wealth offers FTSE investments
Barclays Wealth is providing three new opportunities for investors to try their luck on the FTSE 100 index.
It is this week launching the Minimum Return Plan, a six-year investment which pays a fixed return of 15 per cent plus an additional 10 per cent when the product matures if the FTSE 100 rises 60 per cent in that time and does not fall.
A 35 per cent total return is offered on top of this if the index does not fall below 80 per cent of its strike level during the six-year term.
Barclays second launch is its UK Super Tracker. It is available as a five-year investment offering returns of three times the first 24 per cent rise in the index, up to a maximum of 72 per cent.
There is a three-year version paying returns at three times the first ten per cent rise up to 30 per cent.
Finally, Barclays Wealth is also launching a six-year Regular Income Bond, also linked to the FTSE and offering an annual income of 6.25 per cent or a monthly income of 0.51 per cent.
Lisa Chaudhuri, manager at Barclays Wealth, said: "Our latest issues have been designed to offer investors different ways to gain exposure to the market according to their outlook, attitude to risk and portfolio requirements."
All products provide capital guarantee, provided the index does not fall more than 50 per cent below the starting level.
