Tories bank shares sell off criticised

The Tories have been criticised for their bank shares sell off plan

The Conservative Party's proposals to sell off bailed out banks to the public at a discount have been criticised for being ill conceived, while the Tories were also accused of electioneering.

Early gains lost by FTSE as M&S leads shares lower

Share initially rose in early trading only to be pegged back by M&S and Glaxo

The FTSE 100 Index lost 0.2 per cent to 5,349.56 in early trading erasing gains made first thing as by GlaxoSmithKline and Marks & Spencer Group both led shares lower.

S&P's launches Dynamic Futures Index

Standard & Poor's (S&P's) has unveiled its new Dynamic Futures Index (DFI) which will give investors the opportunity to monitor the price momentum that physical commodities, interest rates and currencies exhibit over the long term.
