Aberdeen has announced details of a new fund.

The Aberdeen Latin American Income Fund Limited has a deadline for UK investors of 17:00 BST on Friday July 30th.

It is complementary to the successful Aberdeen Asian Income Fund Limited and has a total return objective, which includes a significant yield component.

The fund has an initial target dividend yield of 4.25 per cent and aims to increase this over time.

It has a "blended portfolio" that comprises quoted equities and sovereign bonds, promotes itself as a "sensible approach to discount management" and is managed by Aberdeen's emerging markets equity and debt teams.
