Barclaycard and Oyster cards unite

Barclaycard holders will soon be able to use their card to travel on the London Underground and buses in the capital without having to buy a ticket.
The news comes after the credit card provider signed a deal with TranSys, who run the Oyster card system in London.
And as well as being able to tap your Barclaycard to open tube barriers, the new system will also work with Visa's new wave and pay scheme - allowing people to pay for goods by tapping or waving a card in front of a reader without needing to enter a pin number (full story).
"London has seen huge success with the Oyster card from TranSys and TfL [Transport for London] - in much the same way as cards have transformed many other consumer payments, it's difficult to imagine how we managed beforehand," said Barclaycard chief executive Antony Jenkins.
"Putting Oyster and Barclaycard together makes life even easier for Londoners and takes our customers an important step closer to fully contactless card payments elsewhere."
The deal will see Barclaycard have exclusive rights to Oyster payments for three years on Barclaycard and Barclays Connect Visa cards.
