Wednesday, 04 March 2009 12:51

Abbey has released a new credit card that charges 0% on balance transfers for fifteen months and on purchases for three months.

A balance transfer fee of three per cent, or a minimum of £5, applies. The ongoing APR is 15.9 per cent.

Roger Lovering, managing director of Abbey Credit Cards, said: "With 0% on balance transfers for 15 months, the new Abbey Credit Card is designed to appeal to people who want to manage their finances better by transferring an outstanding card balance to a 0% rate.

"In the current economic climate, people are having to manage their finances more carefully and from talking to our customers, it became clear that current priorities are very much about good financial management and value for money."
