Virgin unveils fee-free 0% credit card

Friday, 07 August 2009 12:00

Virgin Money has launched a new credit which comes with a zero per cent interest rate on balance transfers for nine months.

The introductory rate on transfers, which reverts to a typical APR of 16.6 per cent, is complemented by a zero per cent on purchases deal which lasts for three months.

And Virgin is not charging a transfer fee on the card.

The card is available only at price comparison website, Moneysupermarket.com, for a limited period.

Peter Harrison, a credit card expert at Moneysupermarket, said while there were some cards available with zero per cent introductory rate, there were few which did not charge a fee.

He added: "For borrowers who can clear their balance within the nine month introductory period this card is excellent value for money."
