Tuesday, 04 May 2010 12:00

American Express has launched a new credit card that offers rewards to those who stay at one of the hotels owned by Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide.

The credit card links with the existing Starwood Preferred Guest programme and lets customers earn Starpoints on almost all spending, with one Starpoint awarded for each £1 put on the card.

Cardholders can redeem these points on free stays and upgrades at certain St Regis, Luxury Collection, Le Meridien, Sheraton and other hotels, as well as free flights.

The card carries an annual rate of 19.9 per cent variable for purchases, rising to 32 per cent variable including a £75 yearly fee.
