New Gold Credit Card announced by Nationwide

Tuesday, 22 June 2010 12:00

Nationwide has launched a new Gold Credit Card that offers 15 months at zero per cent on balance transfers.

The release has been welcomed by Kevin Mountford, head of banking at moneysupermarket.com.

Mr Mountford said the product's best feature is its positive payment hierarchy.

The expert explained that once a consumer's three months of zero per cent on purchases is up, repayments will be automatically allocated to the most expensive debt.

He stated this strategy is "a big bonus for people who intend to use the card for the odd purchase as well as transferring a balance".

The card is ideal for vacations abroad, the specialist added, as it is commission-free on goods bought in a foreign country.
