Santander's current account or mortgage customers can now take advantage of a zero per cent balance transfer fee on the bank's credit card.

The offer applies to customers who take out the Zero Credit Card, which also comes with zero per cent interest on purchases for three months, foreign exchange fees and cash withdrawal fees.

The zero per cent interest on balance transfers applies for 12 months. It is available to those customers who already have a mortgage or current account at Santander and who transfer their balance from an existing credit card.

According to Santander, this is the latest in a string of initiatives being launched to reward loyalty amongst its customers. It comes following the launch of the Zero per cent current account and fee-free cash withdrawals from Spanish ATMs.

Emma Roberts, director of Santander, said: "This is yet another great offer from Santander Cards. We are committed to rewarding our customers and this offer is the latest in a series of initiatives that will enable customers to benefit from being part of one of the world's most successful and efficient banks."
