Virgin Money unveils market-leading charity credit card

Wednesday, 03 March 2010 12:00

Virgin Money has launched a new charity credit card, the first product it has unveiled since becoming a bank.

The card can donate one per cent of customer's spending to a charitable organisation of their choice and is the first product of its kind to enable Gift Aid for cash back.

With Gift Aid factored in, the card will increase cash back donations to one per cent, more than anything else on the market.

Scott Mowbray, spokesman for the bank, said: "The Virgin Money charity credit card is an easy and convenient way to support good causes and the addition of Gift Aid ensures charities get the maximum benefit from donations."
