American Express and online restaurant booking service toptable have launched a new partnership that will offer the company's card holders extra rewards and special deals.

For the rest of 2010, consumers who place a reservation through the Top Treats service and pay with their Amex card will receive double reward points.

Furthermore, they will have the opportunity to take advantage of special deals, including getting a two-course bar and grill meal and a glass of wine at London's Le Pont de la Tour for £19.50.

Top Treats will also enter everyone making a reservation through the site into a free monthly prize draw. September's prize will be a three-night break in Istanbul's Pera Palace Hotel.

Lan Tu, American Express general manager for UK merchant services, said: "Top Treats will provide unbeatable value to our cardmembers who love to eat out at restaurants that welcome the American Express card."

Backed by shareholders including founder Karen Hanton, chef Gary Rhodes and Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson, toptable allows users to read reviews of and book tables at 30,000 eateries in 14 countries.

The Top Treats service does not cover introductory Amex offers.
