Nationwide slashes personal loan rate

Tuesday, 07 June 2011 11:42

A rate of 6.7 per cent APR Representative is available until July 5th for individuals looking to borrow between £7,500 and £14,999 and who use the Nationwide FlexAccount as their main current account.

Those who would prefer to keep the bulk of their finances elsewhere can benefit from a 6.8 per cent rate through online aggregators, however, the society's director of banking Graham Pilkington stated numerous benefits are on offer for consumers with the current account.

"With Nationwide's loan rate at its lowest for four years, this could enable consumers to make that big purchase more affordable and manageable with less pressure to their household budget," he said.

Consumers who are interested in the offer can take it up by applying via the internet, over the telephone or in a Nationwide branch.
