MBNA platinum balance transfer card could benefit customers

Wednesday, 29 June 2011 01:44

New MBNA customers look set to benefit from the launch of the platinum balance transfer credit card, offered with zero per cent interest for 19 months - a deal available until July 18th.

What's more, the product - which is contactless-enabled - has a rate of 16.7 per cent APR variable and a 2.5 per cent handling fee, which the lender believes is highly competitive.

Europe Card executive for Bank of America Europe Card Services Ian O'Doherty noted that this move demonstrates yet again the institution's commitment to providing customers with the best products.

"This card enables customers to transfer, for a low fee, money into their current accounts to enable them to pay off or save money on other higher interest-bearing debts," he remarked.

It comes after MBNA - a subsidiary of the Bank of America Corporation - launched its first cash back credit cards in Britain, allowing people to earn unlimited amounts of cash back on purchases.
