Barclaycard launch ten per cent summer cash back scheme
Barclaycard has launched a new promotion through its loyalty scheme that will let shoppers earn ten per cent on all purchases this weekend.
Starting this Thursday (July 7th) and running till Sunday (July 10th) as part of the Barclaycard Freedom customer loyalty programme, customers can earn Reward Money at thousands of participating retailers.
The scheme rewards customers with pounds rather than points and any Barclaycard holder will automatically be credited with their Reward Money when they buy from these retail outlets.
Individuals can then choose to redeem some or all of their Reward Money balance or continue to save for purchases in the future.
Barclaycard's Richard Wergan said the initiative will benefit shoppers at a time when they are feeling the pinch financially.
"This is an ideal time to launch our ten per cent promotion and give consumers a helping hand during the longest holiday period of the year," he added. "There are currently 1.3 million cardholders earning Reward Money through Barclaycard Freedom and with no registration or new card needed, we hope this will encourage other Barclaycard holders to take advantage of one of the most transparent loyalty programmes on the market."
