Sainsbury's launches double Nectar points credit card

Monday, 05 September 2011 02:28

Labelled a "must-have" for regular visitors to the retail giant, the Sainsbury's Nectar Credit Card also offers zero per cent interest on balance transfers for 15 months and on purchases for six.

For all purchases after half a year, it charges an APR of 16.9 per cent.

Andrew Hagger, of financial deals comparison website Moneynet, described the card as a "good all-rounder".

"If you're looking for a long-term balance transfer you've got it and for those without a balance to switch, the combination of six months interest-free purchases and a 2 two per cent reward rate makes this a must have card for Sainsbury's shoppers."

The card, which is available from tomorrow (September 6th), represents the company's commitment to give its shoppers a compelling reason to use its banking services, according to Stuart McKeggie, head of Sainsbury's Credit Cards.
