Legal & General to offer equity release

Legal & General mortgage club is now providing access to equity release products thanks to a new referral service it has just launched.

It has teamed up with Key Retirement Solutions (KRS) to offer its members the chance to take advantage of a range of lifetime mortgages and home reversion schemes from a range of providers.

Ben Thompson, director of mortgages at Legal & General, said equity release was a very important segment of the mortgage market and looked set to play a significant role in funding retirement in the future.

"We've therefore set up a stress-free referral process," he added, "and KRS take care of all the advice as well as keeping the broker fully informed along the way."

The mortgage club offers, what Legal & General describes as, market-leading commission rates.

Clients looking at taking out an equity release scheme will benefit from exclusive products and terms, as well as a free initial consultation.
