Housing minister called on to apologise after repossession comments

The CML said there were 46,000 repossessions last year the highest number since 1995

Housing minister John Healey was facing demands for an official apology today after he said housing repossessions could be the best thing for some families.

Borrowers 'paying heavy price' for increased lending

Mortgage borrowers are paying a "heavy price" for the increase in products for those with small deposits.

Mortgage lenders are making borrowers pay a "heavy price" for increasing the number of deals on the market for people with small deposits, it has been claimed.
