January mortgage lending at ten year low

Mortgage lending fell by a third in January according to the latest figures from the CML

The monthly gross mortgage lending figure for the UK fell by just under a third in January to an estimated £9.1 billion, the latest figures from the Council of Mortgage Lenders (CML) have revealed.

The Post Office has unveiled a series of new 75 per cent loan-to-value (LTV) mortgages and has cut the rates on a number of its other products.
