Ten-year fixed-rate mortgage from Accord

Accord has launched a ten-year, fixed-rate offset mortgage with a market-leading rate, according to experts.

Independent mortgage group John Charcol has commented on the product, which offers a rate of 5.54 per cent for its offset deal and 5.24 per cent for the non-offset alternative.

Ray Boulger from the company has welcomed the new deal and believes that it will appeal to many people due to the uncertainty of the housing market.

"Although the demand for ten-year fixed rates has always been small," he said, Accord "has certainly filled a gap that needed filling".

It is available at 75 per cent loan-to-value (LTV), as well as 85 per cent LTV at a higher rate.
