'Lowest-ever' five-year fixed-rate mortgage from Yorkshire

Wednesday, 14 July 2010 12:00

Yorkshire Building Society has launched the lowest rate for a five-year mortgage deal in its history.

It has reduced the rate on the fixed-rate home-loan product to 3.99 per cent for those with a 25 per cent deposit.

The best-buy deal will be available from Friday June 23rd with a £995 fee from any of the banks' branches or online.

Tom Girling, product manager for mortgages at the organisation, commented: "Both out five and ten-year deals offer great value and peace of mind over the medium and longer-term."

He added the item will reduce the risk of any future interest rate increases.
