Yorkshire Building Society has slashed the rate of its two-year tracker product to 3.79 per cent, making it the best-buy option for those with a 15 per cent deposit.
The lender has cut the rate by 0.6 per cent which could equate to savings of £1,200 in interest payments for customers with a £150,000 mortgage over a two-year term.
Tom Girling, mortgage product manager at the lender, said he expects demand to be strong thanks to the products low fees.
"With the lion's share of applications across the market being for variable rate loans, we expect to see a lot of interest from borrowers with this new best buy," he stated.
