Spanish banking giant Santander has boosted its range of mortgages with a new two-year fixed remortgage rate.

The deal has an interest rate of 3.55 per cent with no fee, available for loan-to-value ratios of up to 75 per cent for customers who are remortgaging.

In addition, the lender is reducing the rates on its Flexi Homebuyer and Remortgage products.

The Flexi Homebuyer rate has been cut by 0.15 per cent, while the Remortgage deal is now 0.25 per cent lower.

Both now charge 3.29 per cent interest and incur a fee of £995.

Phil Cliff, Santander Mortgages director, said the bank understands the challenges facing homeowners across the UK.

"This latest market leading two-year fix product should be well received by those looking to remortgage. We have also reduced rates on our Flexi Offset products, making the range even more attractive to borrowers looking for a great deal."
