Derbyshire ups rate on net saver account

Monday, 12 September 2011 01:55

Derbyshire Building Society has increased the rate on its net saver account to 3.18 per cent.

Existing Derbyshire NetSaver customers will benefit from the increased rate from today (September 12th), while the new deal will also apply to accounts opened from now on.

With a minimum opening balance of £1 and a maximum operating balance of £1 million, the account is available online via the building society's website.

Matthew Wyles, Nationwide's Group Distribution Director, said NetSaver is perfect for people who like the convenience of being able to manage their money via the internet.

"It's certainly proved popular with savers with over 9,000 accounts opened since we launched it back in July 2011," he added. "With a market leading rate on offer, the NetSaver gives those savers the chance of a decent return on their investment while providing a solution for those that have used their full Isa allowance but have more money to save."
