One of the stranger risks facing a driver
Drivers need insurance against frozen squirrels

Norwich Union has released a list of some the most bizarre insurance claims it has received, and top of the peculiar poll come those involving animals.
Topping the list of curious claims is the case of a driver whose windscreen was smashed by a frozen squirrel falling out of a tree.
This is closely followed by the unfortunate motorist whose car bonnet was smashed by a falling reindeer.
The creature-carnage continues elsewhere in the list, with one car-owner returning to his vehicle which was parked in the countryside, to find that a herd of cows had licked his car, damaging the paintwork.
Food is another popular culprit when it came to strange insurance claims, with one driver claiming a potato that had rolled under the brake pedal had made it impossible for him to stop the car.
A frozen kebab was also to blame for an accident after it flew out of one car and into the path of another.
Sally Leeman of Norwich Union said: "Who would have thought that frozen squirrels and potatoes could be such hazards! We see a lot of strange claims but we were surprised at how many involved animals and food, of all things.
"We can hardly tell drivers to beware of flying kebabs and frozen squirrels when they're on the roads, but this shows how important it is to be aware of what's going on around you at all times."
While the insurance claims sounded freakish, Norwich Union confirmed that all those mentioned had been compensated for.
