Nationwide Building Society makes fixed-rate mortgages cheaper

Nationwide Building Society has announced cheaper interest rates on its fixed-rate mortgages.

Available from today (September 1st 2006), the new interest rates are:

  • Two-year fixed-rate (£699 fee) - 4.88%
  • Two-year fixed-rate (£399 fee) - 4.97%
  • Three-year fixed-rate (£399 fee) - 5.18%
  • Five-year fixed-rate (£399 fee) - 5.18%
  • Ten-year fixed-rate (£399 fee) - 5.18%

    All Nationwide’s fixed-rate mortgages allow overpayments and underpayments during the deal period and are available to both new and existing borrowers.
