Friends Provident updates pension programmes

Monday, 02 November 2009 12:00

Friends Provident has created a new system aimed at helping its members engage more effectively with their pensions and retirement plan.

It has given a boost to its lifestyle investment programmes which mean they will provide a more bespoke service and allow investors to have more involvement in their fund choices.

The new programmes will allow members to go online and switch on or off the investment programme they are invested in.

They can also change between investment programmes and change their retirement date.

Lillian Goldthwaite, of Friends Provident, said the changes being made to the lifetime investment programmes would bring a new flexibility to the pension plans.

"These enhancements reflect a growing demand for protection of assets and peace of mind for members," she said.

"The right fund choices, along with increased online functionality, will engage members and their pensions and improve retirement provision."
