More Than creates car insurance claim device

More Than has created an application to help iPhone users take essential details at the scene of an accident to aid their car insurance claim.

Research showing 38 per cent of drivers fail to capture the sufficient third party information needed to make a claim after a knock or crash prompted the launch of Car Claim iPhone.

The application allows drivers to take photos, upload their location through a Global Positioning System (GPS) and capture key information such as witnesses and details of the accident.

The tool guides the user step-by-step through the process, which includes taking safety precautions at the roadside.

Mark Christer, managing director for More Than, said: "A car accident is a traumatic experience and it's easy for drivers to forget what information they need to gather from the scene."

He added: "Car Claim should help users experience a smoother claim process with their insurance company, helping them to return to normal as soon as possible."

Car Claim is available to download from the Apple App store. More Than customers can download the application for free.
