NatWest launches mobile banking in south Wales

NatWest is extending its Welsh service with a mobile bank in South Wales.
The mobile bank branch is a vehicle, with full disabled access, which provides remote and deprived areas with direct access to face-to-face banking facilities.
The new mobile bank, which is fully accessible for people with disabilities, will hit the road on October 30th and run every weekday with routes covering areas around Bridgend, Caerphilly, Neath, Port Talbot, Rhondda and Powys.
Existing NatWest customer service officers from the area will staff the bank, including a Welsh speaker.
Customers can carry out the following: cashing cheques, making account deposits, paying bills, checking their balance, ordering foreign currency, getting quotes for all NatWest's major products, accessing forms for opening accounts etc.
There will also be a phone system onboard which will give customers a direct line to other main areas of the bank e.g. mortgage, credit cards, insurance.
NatWest, along with parent company RBS, have been operating a mobile banking system since 1946, with 14 mobile-banks already in operation in the UK.
