An incentive of £100 is being offered to people who switch their current account to Alliance & Leicester.

Alliance & Leicester is offering a £100 incentive to customers who switch to its Premier accounts before May 28th.

The bank will give the reward to new customers transferring their bank account to its Premier or Premier 50 Account.

The £100 will be put into customers' accounts provided they have been funded with £500 within 11 weeks of signing up to the product.

And account-holders must also have transferred at least one direct debit to be entitled to the cash.

Alliance & Leicester launched the deal in a bid to encourage more people to review their current accounts and switch to a better value product.

Gillian Almond, current account manager at Alliance & Leicester, said: "Far too many British banking customers choose to remain with the same uncompetitive current account for years and as a result are likely to be missing out on great interest rates as well as value benefits to suit their banking needs."
