Abbey Bank: Prize-draw promotes student account

Abbey Bank is giving away £50 every hour on the hour for the whole September for both customers and non-customers in their "Money for Nothing" prize-draw.

The offer is made to promote the Abbey student account as the amount reflects the £50 bonus customers receive when opening a new account.

Registration for the prize-draw begins today through an Abbey fan page on Facebook.

"This free prize draw is a great opportunity for students and others to get some extra and unexpected money into their back pocket, and highlight the great value Abbey Student Account, at a time when money tends to be tight," said head of Abbey current accounts, Gillian Almond.

The Abbey student account offers interest free overdraft up to £2,000 and 2.0 per cent in-credit interest available on balances of up to £500.
