Co-op website has all banking answers

Co-operative customers can now get quick answers to questions about the bank's products and services at the click of a mouse.

A new interactive web self-service site has been launched by the bank on its website cooperativebank.co.uk and has the ability to provide answers to some very detailed customer questions.

Customers could use the site to ask specific questions such as where they could get a mortgage for a house in France, for example.

Or they could request slightly more general information such as which current account is best for them.

Sean Barton, e-business manager at the Co-op, said the website was created because it had been looking for new ways to better its customer service.

He said: "Following extensive research into how our customers used our website, we knew web self-service would be vital to improve the customer experience."
