Coventry Building Society unveils 3.25% savings rate

Friday, 03 July 2009 12:00

Coventry Building Society is offering an interest rate of 3.25 per cent to customers opening its re-launched 50 Plus eSave account.

The online savings plan, which is offering interest as a fixed rate for 12 months, benefits from unlimited and penalty-free access to funds.

And savers require a minimum deposit of just £1 to open the account, which is exclusively for the over-50s.

Rachel Haworth, head of marketing at Coventry, said: "In a low interest rate environment customers can now have the best of both worlds - a very competitive rate and the peace of mind of having easy access to their money."
