New savings certificates unveiled by NS&I

Monday, 12 April 2010 12:00

National Savings & Investments (NS&I) has launched new three and five-year issues of its index-linked savings certificates.

The products change in value according to RPI inflation every year and offers guaranteed interest of one per cent AER on an annual basis.

Savers can receive the full guaranteed compound interest by holding the certificates for the whole of the investment term.

Customers can invest a minimum of £100 and a maximum of £15,000 per issue. All of the capital invested is 100 per cent secure, NS&I says.

All returns are tax-free and no interest or index-linking is paid if the product is cashed in during the first year.
