Bonus expiry date for Champion Saver account changed

Monday, 01 November 2010 12:00

The bonus expiry date on all Nationwide Champion Saver accounts opened from today (November 1st) has been changed to January 31st 2010.

Balances over £1,000 in Champion Saver accounts will receive interest at 2.55 per cent annual equivalent rate, including bonus, from today.

Any accounts started before this date are not affected and will continue to benefit from the fixed-rate bonus offered when they started.

Five accounts are tracked by the service, which offer the best rates on a variety of deals from eight high street competitors.

A competitive rate is always offered to customers of the building society as if one of the top-five competitors changes, the Champion Saver core rate is adjusted accordingly.
