NatWest and RBS are paying ISA customers a 0.5 per cent gross bonus for 12 months.

New and existing customers with money in the NatWest Cash ISA or RBS Instant Access ISA accounts will be able to benefit from the offer.

Customers who save their full 2010/2011 cash ISA allowance of £5,100 before April 30th, 2010 will be eligible.

As will savers submitting a request to transfer in their cash ISA from another provider by April 30th, 2010.

Carol Sleith, head of savings, said the banks were providing ways to make ISA saving easier for customers. She said: "We are introducing an online ISA clock and a new range of customer material in branch and online.

"These materials will be useful to inform customers about the looming end of the tax year, helping to ensure deadlines for ISA top ups in the current tax year, or the start of the next one, aren't missed."

The banks have also published a free guide to help demystify ISAs and explain more about ISA subscription limits.
