Savers 'should take advantage of their cash ISA allowance'

Santander has encouraged savers to take advantage of their cash ISA allowance before the deadline for this year's fund occurs.

Those hoping to apply online have until March 31st, while April 5th is the final day people can take action over the phone or in a branch.

Director of savings and investments at the firm Reza Attar-Zadeh encouraged people to act quickly to make sure they do not miss out on using their full allowance.

"Given the popularity of our ISAs we want to ensure that any savers looking to take advantage of their ISA allowance for this year aren't disappointed," he said.

Those looking to stay a step ahead can also make use of next year's ISA by applying from April 1st for a product that can be funded from April 6th - the commencement of the new tax year.

Santander offers customers the option of choosing between a Loyalty Flexible ISA Issue 1 and a Flexible ISA Issue 3.
