Changes to Lloyds TSB Vantage current account

Wednesday, 30 March 2011 11:33

A market leading option is provided by the Vantage current account for people looking for improved in-credit balance returns.

This is according to Lloyds TSB, which has revealed alterations to the tiered interest rates offered on the product.

As part of the changes, people with a balance between £1 and £1,000 will see a rate increase from 0.1 per cent to 1.5 per cent, while from June 27th there will be three rates tiers rather than four.

Balances over £5,000 will no longer receive a four per cent rate, but customers will be provided with details of savings products that could be suitable.

Those currently earning two per cent and three per cent rates will see no change.

Philip Robinson, from the bank, said: "Customers have the potential to earn up to £148 each year by opting for the right current account."

He added that customers will be able to benefit from greater accessibility as well as simplified rates.
