Leeds Building Society has unveiled a new product that may be worth considering for individuals looking to make the most of the tax-free savings afforded to them this tax year.

Customers will be able to benefit from a rate of 3.7 per cent by choosing the firm's two-year fixed-rate ISA.

Sales and marketing director for Leeds Building Society Kim Rebecchi stated that savers will also be afforded a degree of flexibility as they will be able to access up to 25 per cent of their funds at any time, without penalty.

"This 3.7 per cent rate is market leading and offers an excellent home for savers looking to invest their 2011/12 allowance of £5,340," she said.

Ms Rebecchi encouraged those interested in the ISA - including people wishing to transfer money from a 2011/12 investment held elsewhere - to take advantage of the offer soon to avoid missing out.
