Santander offers £25 Amazon voucher with current account switch

Banking customers can get a free £25 Amazon voucher if they switch to Santander's Preferred Current Account via moneysupermarket.com by August 28th.

The Spanish giant is relaunching the offer on the account - which pays five per cent AER (fixed) on balances up to £2,500 for 12 months when customer's pay in at least £1,000 per month - after it enjoyed a successful first outing in May.

Additionally, people who move to Santander by September 11th using the Spanish bank's dedicated switching service get £100 cashback.

Helen Bierton, Santander's head of current accounts, said: "Customers tell us they like our best buy Preferred Current Account because of the five per cent in-credit interest, made even more attractive by the offer of £100 to switch.

"On top of that, for a limited period only, they will also get £25 Amazon voucher when they open their account through moneysupermarket.com. Our hassle-free switching service ensures the process of switching to Santander is easy so, all in all, this makes the whole package very attractive."
