Santander offers £300 and Amazon gift to new current account customers

Santander is offering people a special reward in the form of an Amazon voucher if they open a new Preferred Current Account soon.

The bank has revealed that a £30 voucher for the online retailer will be emailed to them if they open the account via MoneySupermarket.com between now and December 23rd 2011.

Furthermore, mortgage and savings customers already with Santander and holding £10,000 in savings will get £300 cashback when they take on a Preferred Current Account.

Santander residential mortgage holders will get £200 cashback, while those new to the bank will benefit from £100 cashback and a dedicated switching service to help move all their direct debits and standing orders seamlessly from their previous financial services provider.

Spokesperson Liz Chang said the deal is "a very attractive package, all in all".

Last month, a new savings bond that offers customers net interest of £1,000 upfront for every £12,000 they save was introduced by Santander.
